# GPS/VPS switch script

To increase safety during initial testing of your Cyclops system, we have provided a Lua script that gives your pilot manual control over GPS (GPS1) and Cyclops (GPS2). The script uses two 2- or 3-position switches to control whether each system is providing a position to the flight controller. This allows the pilot to completely disable either system in case an issue occurs during flight.

### ArduPilot parameter configuration

In ArduPilot, configure two switches to control the two position sources. For example: if you want the switch on RC7 to control GPS and the switch on RC10 to control Cyclops:

<table><thead><tr><th width="249">ArduPilot Parameter</th><th width="164">Param Value</th><th width="328">Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><code>RC7_OPTION</code></td><td><code>302</code></td><td>Scripting 3</td></tr><tr><td><code>RC10_OPTION</code></td><td><code>301</code></td><td>Scripting 2</td></tr><tr><td><code>SCR_USER1</code></td><td><code>1</code></td><td>Enables the script</td></tr></tbody></table>

Using the GPS/VPS script is optional, but recommended for safety and redundancy during initial testing.

Your RC is configured to enable/disable Cyclops and GPS as position sources.
