# Flight controller

Cyclops connects to a UART port on the flight controller to communicate with ArduPilot. If you purchased a [Preconfigured Cyclops System](/cyclops/cyclops-computer/preconfigured-cyclops-system.md), a serial cable is provided. Most flight controllers have many compatible serial ports. For example, the Cube Orange+ flight controller, the TELEM 1, TELEM 2, and GPS 2 ports are ready to interface with Cyclops.

You can use a UART cable, serial hat, or USB TTL converter to connect the two devices.

Once you have physically connected to your flight controller, [Autopilot Integration](/cyclops/autopilot-integration.md) covers how to configure your autopilot for MAVLink communication with Cyclops over the UART.
